New Orleans [a photo dump]

New Orleans [a photo dump]

During our time in the south, we tried to explore as much as possible. On our last free Saturday we finally toured New Orleans. Eating beignets, riding street cars, hearing jazz, and enduring humidity seems like a good idea.

French Quarter

The oldest neighborhood in the city, it’s a beautiful mixture of Spanish, French and Creole architecture. I could’ve spend so much time here just adoring the buildings and people watching.

St. Charles Ave.

Riding street cars down this tree lined street was a cool experience. The further into the city we got, the more crowded it became. Were we ever grateful for the open windows giving some fresh air.

City Park

Due to time and the heat, we only drove through the park and I hopped out to get a few photos. I fear the live oaks with Spanish moss have become my favorite tree.

I’m so grateful I got another city checked off and I hope to go again one day.
