adventures in Seattle Pt. 3 Bainbridge Island

When I was researching things to do in Seattle, I discovered this little island! I was sure that nobody else would want to go there, but to my surprise there were plenty of tourists. We took the ferry across at noon – I got to go for free! I stupidly left my coat in the car, so needless to say the ferry ride was quite chilly. Obviously I could have ridden inside, but we had to absorb the beauty of the abating skyline.

The sun peaked out from behind the clouds a few times, making for a pleasant walk to the crowded Main Street. I found a little restaurant that was out of the way but it had a beautiful view of the harbor. By the time we arrived, it was also filled with people. We ordered food and found one open table on the patio. The place was so cute, they used a dumb waiter to bring the food up from the kitchen! The 45 minute wait was cool but relaxing (despite the dying phones). When we had finished eating, it was nearly time to be back at the ferry.

We chose to sit inside for the journey back and I uploaded my photos and starting editing : )

Enjoy a glimpse into our few hours.

I’m so glad I discovered the note about Bainbridge Island, a truly beautiful and unique place. (Fun fact: pickleball was invented there in 1965.🙂)
