It’s officially cozy weather! I love winter and all it entails: writing Christmas cards, caroling, reading Luke 2, making cocoa, sitting and reading a book all day (and not feeling guilty about it), breaking out the fuzzy blankets and twinkling lights, burning candles and sooo much more.
But let’s face it, after the first month or two of winter have settled in, some of the cheer wears off and we long for the summer sunshine.
So I’ve decided to make a list of things that you can do to warm up the winter ☺️
🤎 Embrace Hygge

🌲 Make sugar cookies and cocoa
You could deliver some to your neighbors and local first responders, and give some to your Amazon driver.

This recipe is the BEST hot cocoa ever!

🌿 Write a letter to yourself

✨ Start Bible journaling
& buy a Daily Grace devotional.

💌 Send handmade cards to your friends
Add some fun things like pressed flowers, a velvet ribbon, a winter quote or a sticker.

🎲 Host a game night
Play games like Qwirkle, Clue, Checkers, Mafia, and Pictionary.
⛄️ Take a walk in the rain or snow.
Pause to snap photos of the beauty around you and forage for decor.

🫶🏼 Create a cozy reading space
Add twinkling lights, cute pillows, fluffy throws, and a honey cinnamon latte.
🌟 Start a simmer pot
Add cinnamon sticks, citrus, cloves, lavender or something else you’d enjoy.

🪽Donate blankets or coats to your local shelter
🎨 Take up a new hobby
like watercolor, knitting, candle making, or latte art.

✍🏼 Make a list of things you love about winter
📸 Arrange a little photo shoot

☕️ Go to a coffee shop & write letters

🩶 Call your best friend
Let her know how much she means to you and just talk.
⛸️ Walk the streets of your town

♥️ Try a new recipe

🕯️Burn lots of candles
🖤 Set up a nativity scene
Or better yet, crochet one! (Mom made this one : )

I hope this made you excited about the winter ahead; and as you approach this season, may the light of Christ be shining through you.
Happiest holidays!
